Hwy 461, could be it.......

Well we are on the way back to Florida. We really liked the farm with all the blue roof buildings, it was just beautiful, and Amish family who built it did a wonderful job! We just don't think it is in an area that could support our B4 Farm business. The front of the property had enough room with a stream and a pond that would be very pretty, but the road that it is on Hwy 39 in Crab Orchard is just not very busy. There is no view either, and the stream that runs back by the house is not really flowing, and they had just had rain the night before.

So we did go to the Somerset church, and we did like it, the people there were very friendly, it was just very small. I really liked the preacher and his wife, he has such a kind voice and preached a good sermon just for us on "fear", don't let fear hold you back from what God has told you to do. You just have to keep your faith up and don't let fear get in.

Sunday afternoon, we just drove around, Jeff's mom, Carolyn, told us to drive up around Berea, KY. It is a college town. It was really pretty! On the way we passed a piece of property on Hwy 461 near Mt. Vernon, we called the number but had to leave a message. We did not know if the part for sale was down in a valley, or the part up on the hill. The owner called us that afternoon, she told us that it was the part up on the hill, and it was 10.75 acres. On the way back to Somerset for the night, we pulled off to look but, it was too dark to see anything. The next day we headed back that way and parked the car at the bottom of the property and walked up....the first part we saw was long and skinny, we were thinking that if this is all it is, it's too long and skinny. The location was great but just too long and skinny. Then we got to the top of this hill, I called the owner back and asked it the big square on the top of the hill was part of the property too?? She said, “Yes, it was!" That just made this property beautiful. It would make a GREAT location for a business, a well traveled road, on top of a hill with a view!

We are doing lots of praying about this one!

Praise God for the leading of the Holy Spirit!

Blue Roof Farm....

We left this morning for Kentucky, to go see our Blue Roof farm!!  Yeah!!  I am so excited, to walk around this farm and look inside all the buildings.  Today will be nothing but driving...driving...driving...and some more driving.  We have always taken our little PT Cruiser, but two days ago we started hearing a weird noise up front.  Jeff checked the brake pads, but they were fine.  Since we don't know exactly what it is yet, and did not have the place or the time to fix it, we had to rent a car.  It is really NICE to travel in a new car.  It is SO quiet, the air works, it's roomy and it SMELLS good!  And BONUS it has cruise!!!!!!!  The PT doesn't, so on long trips it is not so wonderful....

Thank you Lord for our Blue Roof farm in Crab Orchard, KY, we receive it in Jesus name!

We will get to see the farm tomorrow, we are meeting the realtor at 10:00a.m.!!

FOUND IT.....

We have felt a pulled to Somerset, KY, for years.  We went there once, years ago, but thought it was too big of a town, this was before we were wanting to do a large agri-tainment business.  We were going to go the the RHEMA church there, but changed our minds because of the size of the town.  So Jeff and I decided to make a trip to Somerset in May.

On April 19, 2012, God lead me to OUR FARM....it is exceedingly, abundently, above anything I could ask or think!! It is just perfect! I look at it and it just screams my name, I feel like I already own it, and I just need to get there and possess it!
It is in Crab Orchard, KY, which is only 32 min from the church in Somerset!!!!

This property has a beautiful home, big barn with horse stalls, a shop for Jeff, an extra building, a spring fed pond and a STREAM!!  It is 23 acres, with the house and buildings in the back half of the property and a perfect place up by the road for the business!!  And it has NO power, because it is an Amish farm, which is exactly what Jeff has always wanted....to be "off-the-grid", and do solor and wind power!!  Is this the PERFECT farm for us or what???  All the buildings have that beautiful blue tin roof.....that is my FAVORITE color, that is God's way of putting the icing on the cake for me!

Put your hope in the Lord; travel steadily along His path; He will honor you by giving you the land. Psalm 37:34

If this is what what we are supposed to do, then God will provide a way for us to do it.  Because in the natural, without God, there is NO WAY.....financially....for us to buy this property, or start a business.  This business is supposed to be our "job", we really feel that God wants us to do this, it is a HUDGE leap of FAITH....as of June 1, Jeff will not be employeed.
Both sides of our family think that we are "crazy"!
We are trusting God and going out on faith!
We are under the blessing, and my God supplies ALL my needs, and He prospers the work of our hands!

We leave this week to go to Kentucky to see this property and to go to the church in Somerset....I am very excited....going on FAITH!  Praise God!

Should have started this blog YEARS ago.....

LOOKING BACK....
Well, I really should have started these blog years ago, but since I didn't I will do a quick catch up blog. Ever since we came back to Florida from our brief 2 years in Michigan at Uncle John's Cider Mill, we knew that Lakeland was just temporary. (Turns out temporary was 7 years!!)  We purchased a home is a lovely neighborhood near great schools, but it was NOTHING to look at inside. Jeff and I began improving this house, we added a pool, added a pool door, re-modeled bathrooms, added new carpet, tile, laminate floors and last but not least re-modeled the kitchen with all new appliances.  God gifted Jeff with SO many talents, (and a great Dad that taught him worlds of things!) that he can do anything! And what he can't do he taught himself!
Looking back now I know why God put us in Lakeland.  I was blessed to be a stay-home-mom, blessed to be near my family, blessed to make great new friends, blessed to be near one of my dearest friends, Paula; and blessed to attend the BEST church in Florida, Family Worship Center!! I have always believed in God, ever since I can remember; but in the past 7 years, I have grown SO much in my relationship with God, I have learned SO much!
Jeff wanted to move YEARS ago, but I did not want to move our three girls again so soon.  I did not want to move Becka during high school, so Jeff agreed to stay till she finished HS.  She graduated in 2010 and we finished the kitchen re-model that same year.  It took us a little longer to do house clean-outs, rent s storage building, get the outside of the house painted, etc., before we finally put the house on the market April 2011!!  Yeah, we thought we were on our way!
Since 2008, we had made a few trips looking for our perfect farm in either KY, NC, TN or North GA.  The mountains, rolling hills and beautiful streams had always been my FAVORITE place to be.  Seeing rolling hills and clear streams just makes my spirit soar!

B4 FARM....
B4 came from our four children, who's names all start with the letter "B", Brian, Becka, Bailey and Blake.  Jeff started putting computers together and built one for us over 13 years ago, he also put one together for my Mom and Dad, he took a little picture of a bumble bee and put it to the 4th power, for all four children; he would put it on these computers he was building, and so the B4 name was born!
About 2009, God began to work in us....our want for a farm was turning into something BIG!  Jeff wanted to raise bees and sell the honey.  From there it went to, we could sell the bees wax and make candels and add other things and have a gift shop....well I was all over that idea!!  We had known, since we started looking for a farm that it would be the B4 Farm.
FAITH PUT INTO ACTION.....
As we grew in God and learned that you had to put your faith in action, we decided to have shirts printed up with our B4 Farm logo on them.  We would talk and plan for hours on our B4 Farm, we would get SO excited planning a God centered, family friendly place that people could come to and feel the peace of God!  I think it was in 2010 we started a web page for our farm.  We now even have business cards printed up.....no address on them yet, but we have them!
THE PERFECT NUMBER...7...
In March, 2012, we finally sold our house, it took a little over 10 months, but we sold it to the right couple, a very sweet Christian couple with an adorable baby.  When we closed on this house we had been there exactly 7 years, to the month!  In the Bible 7 is the complete perfect number....so everything is in God's timing!
In the natural we lost LOTS of money on this house because of all the updates we did, but we did not ask God if we were supposed to do the updates....HGTV said that we should, so we did!   But MY GOD WILL SUPPLY ALL MY NEEDS!
THOUGHT WE WERE GONE......
We thought that as soon as we closed on our house we were off to find our B4 Farm!  But when Jeff went to his boss and asked to take his job with him for a while and work from out of state, they did not think that that was such a great idea.  (Jeff programs computers, so he can do it remotely from anywhere)  His boss wanted him to stay around for 3 months and train his replacement.  That was a little disapointing, but he agreed to it.
That brings us up to date of where we are now....in a little appartment in Lakeland, on hold.
THE RIGHT PLACE......
I spend most of my day on the internet looking for property.  Years ago when I started this, I printed out maps of KY, NC, TN and North GA and put all the RHEMA churches on them.  When I find property that I like, I look to see if there if a RHEMA church within driving distance, if not....then I don't keep it.
We know if we find the church that we are supposed to be at, then we will find the right property and prosper!
